Thank you! Thank you to you and your entire addiction treatment staff at Passages for having "saved J***'s life." I really believe that. First of all, about his spells, it has now been approximately a full month that J*** has been "spell free." For about the last several years, since J*** was in 8th grade, or a freshman at Military Academy, has he ever had even several days together without having spells, even while being in v...

Methamphetamine Rehabilitation Through Holistic Treatment
Before discussing methamphetamine rehabilitation, we must first outline the causes of dependency. Here at Passages Addiction Cure Center, we know that all dependency is a result of only four causes, and they are:
1. Chemical imbalance in the brain;
2. Unresolved events from the past;
3. Beliefs you hold that are inconsistent with what is true;
4. An inability to cope with current conditions.
In order to cure your addictions, we must delve deeply into the root causes of your dependency. Genetics is not listed as a cause for addiction because there are millions of people in the United States whose relatives have been dependent on addictive substances, while they remain drug free. Also important to note is that we do not believe that alcoholism or addiction are diseases. Rather, they are ways in which people cope with underlying conditions in their lives.
Once we have discovered and healed these causes, your dependency is forever cured. And here at Passages Addiction Cure Center, this is exactly what we do.
THE FACTS OF METHAMPHETAMINE ADDICTION
Repairing the damage of chronic methamphetamine abuse can be an arduous process, requiring a multifaceted, holistic approach to physical, psychological, and spiritual treatment.
Methamphetamine is a very addictive drug, especially when injected intravenously or smoked. The side effects from using methamphetamine vary between physical and psychological ailments, and depend upon the extent of use. Methamphetamine is a central nervous system stimulant, which quickly causes physical and psychological dependency.
Common side effects can include euphoria, increased energy and attentiveness, diarrhea, nausea, excessive sweating, loss of appetite, insomnia, jaw-clenching, panic attacks, and increased libido. Using meth chronically can lead to drug craving, weight loss, painful withdrawal symptoms, meth mouth (rapid tooth decay), and psychosis. If a person overdoses on meth, brain damage, meningitis, hallucinations, muscle breakdown, and kidney failure can occur.
And unfortunately, while these side effects are severe, and despite the energy and willpower people use to try and kick a meth addiction, people who are dependent on meth often relapse shortly after attempting to come clean.
There is a reason for this. We can become addicted to certain drugs, such as methamphetamine, because of their addictive qualities, but after a few weeks away from them, even though the withdrawal symptoms have disappeared along with the physical dependency, we still reach for meth. The reason we do this is because something else – an underlying problem – is present and causes us to continue to want to take those drugs. It’s a craving, and it can be severe.
METH ADDICTION IS NOT A DISEASE, IT’S A SYMPTOM
It is our intention, here at Passages, to change the notion that drug and alcohol addiction are incurable diseases. Much of the world still labors under the concepts that addiction is a disease, a moral failing, or a lack of will power. Within most Drug Treatment Centers, these concepts are still generally held to be true and these standard programs treat patients for addiction and alcoholism as if they were the problems. They are not the problems. They are merely symptoms of the real problems.
You may be wondering: “if alcoholism and addiction are not diseases, what are they?” The short answer is that they are names used to describe a state in which we find ourselves after we’ve used alcohol or addictive drugs for a long enough period of time to have developed a dependency on them, meaning that we can’t permanently discontinue their use without help.
The reason relapse is so common with methamphetamine users, and people dependent on all addictive substances, is that they do not ask themselves why they are using meth. Most users believe they do it because of the “high.” It’s true that they experience the high, but it’s not the reason they can’t stop. Methamphetamine is not the problem; it is a symptom of the true problem. It is what people are using to help themselves cope with their particular situations and histories. Here at Passages, we seek to discover those underlying conditions that are at the root of you or your loved one’s dependency.
Once we discover and cure the underlying problems, your need for methamphetamine will disappear completely and forever. For more in-depth information on this healing process, be sure to get Chris Prentiss’s book, The Alcoholism and Addiction Cure. It is available wherever books are sold. It will open your eyes as never before about how to cure dependency on methamphetamine or any other drug or addictive behavior.

A COMPLETE ADDICTION CURE IS POSSIBLE WITH PASSAGES MALIBU
Even if you have been in and out of rehabilitation centers without success for your methamphetamine dependency, there is a cure for you. Passages Malibu, in southern California, comprehensively attends to all of the needs of people seeking methamphetamine detox, rehab, and treatment.
We address the whole person who is affected by the negative physical, psychological, and spiritual effects of meth dependency. Because we know that core issues always underlie addiction, we delve deeply into the inner recesses of your mind, body and spirit where live the causes of your dependency.
We employ methods, ancient and modern, to uncover the specific causes that may be at work within you, and heal those causes so that you can live your life peacefully and happily, completely and permanently sober.
In order to achieve your goal of being permanently free of addictive substances, we pair you upon arrival with 10 specialists who work one-on-one with you at least once every week. This amounts to at least 15 individual sessions per week, for more than 60 individual sessions per month. At the end of each week, your entire treatment team meets with all the other therapists to discuss your particular treatment program and to create a new program for the following week.
Your treatment team includes a clinical psychologist, a hypnotherapist, a spiritual counselor, a medical doctor we recommend, an acupuncturist, a drug and alcohol counselor, a marriage family therapist, a nutritionist, a physical trainer, a life purpose coach, a continuing care specialist for when you leave Passages and a massage therapist. In addition, our two directors, Chris and Pax Prentiss, are available to meet with you personally. That level of care is not available at any substance abuse center anywhere in the world.

ONE-ON-ONE THERAPY IS THE KEY TO RECOVERY
Our intensive, individualized treatment approach provides up to 60 individual therapy sessions during the month-long treatment program, in addition to our group therapies, community meetings and sober recreational activities.
This intensive, individualized treatment balances our clients’ therapeutic experiences and cements a path towards developing cognitive understanding, emotional stability and constructive behavioral habits that are essential for achieving an enduring methamphetamine addiction recovery.
One-on-one therapy is essential because it creates a warm, safe environment in which our clients receive individual attention, which is a key element that is severely lacking in other meth treatment centers. Almost every treatment center in the world offers only one individual session a week, with 96 to 97 percent of their programs consisting of group meetings.
Achieving a cure for your methamphetamine dependency is difficult when treatment programs are not individualized. And that’s why here at Passages, you will enjoy the benefit of intensive, individualized, one-on-one treatment.
Your holistic cure is only a phone call away. Take action now towards your personal methamphetamine addiction cure and call us now at to speak with one of our caring and knowledgeable intake counselors.
