THE FACTS OF XANAX ADDICTION While many speculate on the seemingly endless causes of addiction, we, here at Passages Addiction Cure Center, have come to understand that there are only four causes: 1. Chemical imbalance in the brain; Repairing the damage of a Xanax addiction requires professional treatment. In order to properly cure you or your loved one’s Xanax dependency, a comprehensive Xanax rehab treatment program must first uncover the underlying problems that have driven you to drugs and are maintaining your need for drugs. Once these underlying problems have been discovered, they can be healed, and full rehabilitation from Xanax addiction can occur. In order to do this, though, it is important that you have a team of therapists working with you one-on-one. While group meetings do not work well, private therapy is extremely effective. That is why each client at Passages Addiction Cure Center receives more than 60 sessions of private therapy per month with some of the top therapists in the world. Xanax is a trade-name for Alprazolam and is a short-acting benzodiazepine used to treat severe cases of anxiety disorders as well as depression-related anxiety and panic attacks. Common examples of benzodiazepines are Xanax, Valium, Klonopin, Ativan, Ambien, and others. Generally, this type of drug slows down nerve cell signals, making us relaxed and sleepy. When use of a benzodiazepine is discontinued, withdrawal symptoms usually occur. These symptoms are varied and can include insomnia, panic attacks, tremors, muscle cramps, vomiting, sweating, anxiety, watery eyes, dizziness, fainting, loss of appetite, bone aches, muscle aches, headaches, intestinal cramping, runny nose, goose bumps, hallucinations, irritability, diarrhea, tremors, panic, chills, paranoia, anger attacks, convulsions, heart palpitations, rapid breathing, tachycardia (fast pulse), apathy (lack of energy and enthusiasm), delirium, pain, depression, disorientation, fatigue, excessive periods of sleep, seizures and even psychosis (a mental state in which a person loses contact with reality). In some cases, death can occur. That is why Xanax should never be abruptly discontinued if it has been taken regularly for any length of time. Xanax is not recommended for extended use because the body naturally grows accustomed to the drug, developing tolerance rapidly (meaning that more of the drug is necessary with each dose in order to achieve the same initial effects), and withdrawal symptoms can be severe. If long-term administration is necessary, doctors recommend withdrawing from the drug gradually, under a doctor’s supervision.

We invite you to read our life-saving book, THE ALCOHOLISM AND ADDICTION CURE, which is showing people the world over how to completely and permanently put an end to dependency on drugs, alcohol and addictive behavior right there where they live.

This is fundamental to our philosophy because every client is different. The reasons they have become dependent are different. Group therapy is like taking 10 people to a clinic, one for a broken arm, one for a cough, one for a cut finger, one for acute diarrhea, another for an eye infection, and others who have different problems, and treating them all by putting a cast on their arm. While the person with the broken arm may have received the proper treatment, what about the other 9 patients?
In the traditional 12-step programs, people sit in a group and listen to everyone else’s stories. This goes on all day, for weeks. By the end of the treatment, everyone still goes home with a high chance for relapse because they were never able to address the underlying problems that they had brought with them to treatment. The only thing they take home with them is a reinforced negative self-image of being an incurably diseased alcoholic or drug addict. That is simply not the case at Passages Addiction Cure Center. You can read a full description of how to discover and heal the underlying conditions in Chris Prentiss’s book, The Alcoholism and Addiction Cure. Chris is Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Passages Addiction Cure Center in Malibu, California, the world’s most effective center for curing dependency on all drugs and addictive behavior.
YOUR DEPENDENCY IS NOT A DISEASE
These specialists will never tell you that you are incurably diseased because here at Passages, we understand that alcohol and drug dependency are not diseases. At the bottom of every person’s dependency, there is always pain, always a problem that is causing the pain. Discovering the pain and healing it is an essential step in curing each individual’s dependency, and one-on-one sessions are key because the individual issues at the heart of dependency are entirely individual. You can trust the expertise and guidance of the Passages Addiction Cure Center’s team of skilled therapists, who will work with you individually, each week, to address your underlying problems and to create a highly comprehensive, aftercare treatment plan. At the end of each week of treatment, your team of therapists will meet and redesign your treatment program for the follow week. This way, your program progresses as you progress. This level of treatment can only be found at the Passages Addiction Cure Center in Malibu, California.
At traditional drug rehab centers, patients usually receive a total of 4 individual sessions per month. At Passages Addiction Cure Center Malibu, each client receives more than 60 individual sessions each month with the finest addiction therapists and specialists to be found anywhere.
